Measure the starting point

Priority: English and Mathematics, then the answer-sheet habit

The school keeps its local count and duration private, so the first job is to learn your child's strengths and decisions without inventing a QE clock.

  • Start the diagnostic across English and Mathematics, and keep the two subjects separate in the review.
  • Record correct answers, topic, skipped items, avoidable errors and answer-sheet transfer errors.
  • Use the GL familiarisation timing only as an optional practice observation, never as the QE local duration.
  • Choose the first repairs from 476 original practice questions, not from a guessed local paper blueprint.

Taper with familiar decisions

Priority: Accuracy, calm pacing and a clean first pass

The final days are for protecting reliable habits, not filling every remaining gap or guessing the school's confidential format.

  • Finish the last complete practice sequence by 11 Sept 2026 and review it while the decisions are fresh.
  • From 13 Sept 2026, use only the error log, short mixed sets and familiar answer-sheet practice.
  • On the day before, do a brief English and Mathematics warm-up, then stop before concentration drops.
  • Keep 225 labelled as the current 2027 eligibility threshold, not a raw practice conversion or offer promise.
